MedIndia Charitable Trust (a unit of MedIndia Institute of Medical Specialities, No. 83, Valluvar Kottam High Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai – 600034), organized a Free Mega Public Health Exhibition for creating Health Awareness at Chennai Convention Centre, beuween 9.00AM and 6.00PM on Sunday, the 5th December, 2010, regarding various types of digestive diseases, among the general public and to promote early detection of silent digestive diseases like Hepatitis “B”, G.I. cancer etc. In addition, Free Blood Test for detecting Hepatitis “B” virus and Free Medical Consultation Camp for detection of Digestive Diseases was also organized for the public.
Prof. (Dr.) Mayil Vahanan Natarajan, Vice Chancellor, The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. University participated as the Chief Guest and Inaugurated the Public Health Exhibition, Free Medical Camp for Digestive Diseases along with the Free Blood Test for Hepatitis “B”: virus detection and the Advanced Endoscopy Cancer Unit consisting of Endo Ultra Sonography, Single Balloon Enteroscopy and High Definition Endoscopy System and delivered the Chief Guest’s Address.. Dr. M. Ahmed Ali, Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist, Chennai was the Guest of Honour and delivered the Felicitation Address.
